Territorium Wiki Play

Nations mode

In Nations mode, each player plays a real country of the giant world map. The mode is played in multiplayer, up to 80 players.

The principle

  • The map is a giant world with 125 countries with real borders. The biggest countries are split into regions of similar size.
  • You start with your whole country and its capital.
  • Countries nobody picks are played by the AI.
  • If you do not pick a country, the server gives you a random one.
  • A continent filter helps you choose (Africa, North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Oceania).
  • Every game counts in the Nations statistics: most played countries, wins per country, player win rate, and countries played in your profile.

Victory

50% of the land is enough to win. See also End of the game for the final phase and the coalition.

Small-country bonuses

So that small countries are not crushed early:

  • A country of fewer than 20,000 tiles gets a starting bonus, up to +400,000 gold and +75,000 troops: the smaller the country, the bigger the bonus.
  • Troop floor: every country can keep at least as many maximum troops as a country of 20,000 tiles.

The capital

  • It sits on the country's real capital (its golden crown is visible on the map) and gives +10% gold and +10% troop growth.
  • During the first minute, the land around each country's original capital (5 tiles) cannot be taken or bombed: no country is wiped out before it can react.
  • If your capital falls: an announcement to everyone, and -10% defence for 60 seconds. A banner with a countdown is shown.
  • You can proclaim a new capital after 2 minutes.
  • The capital keeps its level and can never be upgraded.

Regional alliances

An alliance with a neighbouring country lasts 50% longer (7 minutes 30 instead of 5).

Peace treaty

Available as everywhere: see Alliances, peace and betrayal.

Vassal surrender

When you only have a quarter of your country left (you lost three quarters), you can surrender to a player you are at war with and become their vassal:

  • if the player accepts, no attacks between you for 10 minutes;
  • the vassal pays 25% of its gold income to its overlord;
  • breaking this agreement is perjury.

The action is in the player panel ("Surrender").

Coalition of nations

When a player controls 30% of the land, the nations (AI) ally against them. It is only a matter of alliances: no stat bonuses for them.

Difficulty and AI

Nations play like players. Their level is adjustable in solo and private games.

Interface

  • Names are shown as "Country | Username".
  • A continent filter helps you choose your country at launch.
  • An allies-only chat channel exists in Nations mode.
