Territorium Wiki Play

Game modes

Territorium offers five modes, each with rules of its own, plus the guided training. The "Game modes" menu lets you pin your favourite modes on the home page.

Classic

The base mode: every player for themselves (or in teams), on the map of your choice, in solo, private or public games. You win by owning 80% of the land; the threshold drops in long games (see End of the game). Tribes (bots) and nations (AI) can fill the map. Private games let you adjust the rules (opponents, difficulty, objectives, alliance length, progressive end of game, and so on).

Nations

Pick a real country on the giant world map, with its capital. Everything is detailed on the Nations mode page. Victory at 50% of the land.

Versus

Two teams face off on a tournament map, with the same rules for everyone, no bots or nations.

FormatMap
1v1Tournament 2 teams
2v2Tournament 4
3v3Tournament 3 (the north of the map is neutral)
4v4Tournament 8
  • Each team starts in its own zone, a mirror image of the other, away from the centre.
  • The rules are fixed: nobody can change them.
  • The last team standing wins.
  • Public game: it starts as soon as every seat is taken, and teams are drawn at random.
  • Private game: invite your friends with the link, everyone picks a side, then the host starts the game.

Conquest

Five objectives appear on a regional map after 30 seconds. Hold 3 of them for 3 minutes in a row to win, whatever the size of your territory. A different regional map each game. See also Expansion.

Survival

All players form one team against waves of AI invaders that grow with your empires. Playable solo, in a private game or in a public game, up to 16 players.

  • 10 waves, including blitz waves (the 3rd and 7th) and two warlords (the 5th and 10th).
  • The invaders play by your rules and land at your level: each wave is measured against the defenders as they stand when it lands, and goes for the strongest first.
  • Victory: hold out after the last wave (2 minutes 30), or bring down the warlord who leads it.
  • Defeat: no defender left.
  • The peace treaty lasts 1 minute instead of 3 there.
  • A summary is shown at the end of the game.

Training

The guided training starts from the menu: a solo game on the Black Sea against three easy nations, with objectives that introduce conquests, buildings, map objectives and your first missile, then victory over the nations.

Private and solo games

In a private game, the creator invites with a link and sets up the game. In solo, pause and game speed are available. Private and solo games do not count toward Ranked.
