Buildings

Everything is built from the build bar or the wrench of the radial menu. The price of each building rises with the number you own. Demolishing a building does not refund its gold.

Price table

The prices below are those of your 1st, 2nd, 3rd... one, up to a cap.

Ports and factories share the same price counter: every port or factory you own raises the price of the next one, of either kind.

City

Raises your maximum troops. It is the best way to grow when you run out of land to take. An upgraded city holds more people.

Port

Coast only. Sends trade ships to other countries' ports: each trip earns gold for both sides. Trade stops for 5 minutes with anyone you fight. The port also builds warships (they leave from the nearest port).

Factory

Lays railways to your nearby cities, ports and factories, and to your allies'. Trains run along them and earn gold at each stop, more at a neighbour's.

Defense post

Strengthens the border around it, within 30 tiles (checkered pattern on the map). Attacks there are slower and cost the attacker many more troops. It cannot be upgraded.

Missile silo

Launches your atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, EMPs and MIRVs. After each launch it reloads for 9 seconds. You need a silo to use a nuclear weapon. See Units.

SAM launcher

Shoots down enemy missiles within 70 tiles at level 1, up to about 100 tiles at level 5. It reloads for 9 seconds after each shot. Each level adds one missile ready and more range.

Radar

Spots enemy boats, warships and missiles within 100 tiles at level 1 (125 at level 2, 150 at level 3). Each radar you own makes the next one cost more.

Upgrading a building

Click one of your buildings to open its card: current level, what the next level brings, upgrade button. An upgrade costs the current price of a new building of the same type.

  • Cities, ports and factories go up to level 5, right away. A higher-level city holds more people, a port sends more trade ships and repairs more warships at once, a factory sends more trains.
  • SAM launchers go up to level 5, silos and radars up to level 3. These military levels unlock as the game goes on: level 2 after 5 minutes, level 3 after 10, level 4 after 15 and level 5 after 20 (counted from the end of the placement phase). The card shows the countdown.
  • In ranked, levels are lower (SAM 3, silo and radar 2) and unlock later (level 2 after 8 minutes, level 3 after 15).
  • Defense posts and capitals can never be upgraded.
  • An upgraded building gets a frame on the map: bronze at level 2, silver at level 3, gold at level 4, emerald at level 5.
  • The building logo changes with each level.

Deleting a building

Red cross of the radial menu: demolishes your building closest to the click. A building destroyed by the enemy or by a bomb disappears too.
